Design of the corporate Christmas gift for Nestlé Switzerland, inspired by the Christmas pyramid, a traditional decorative object with a moving top, activated by the heat of a candle.
Given the company’s international reach, the design emphasis was on achieving significant impact with minimal means. The stabile’s volume is constructed from four brass pieces ranging from 0.5 to 1.5mm in thickness: small, lightweight, and easily transportable. The set of pieces gains meaning only when assembled by the user. As the candles are lit on around the plate of the stabile, the object comes to life, gracefully unfolding into mesmerizing, peaceful rotations.
